Lebron Jamesenters the NBA at the young age of 18. He came into the NBA with the most hype one single player has ever had when making the jump from high school hoops to the pro game. He became the youngest rookie of the year winner ever. Another 4 years later, this kid, now 23, is considered the next greatest player the NBA has ever seen. He is LeBron James, the King.

Lebron James more championships than he has fingers on a single hand. He has won multiple MVP awards in both the regular season and playoff finals. We, at Melrose Jewelers, think Lebron Jamesis the greatest player the NBA has ever seen. He is the new Michael Jordan. Fast-forward 20 years from 1986.
If LeBron James has inherited the superstar mantle of Michael Jordan, what kind of Rolex watches should King James wear to symbolize his triumph? Without question, the King, representing the very best in quality and performance, should wear a Rolex watch. Should the King be flashy and wear a Rolex Masterpiece like Jay-Z or should the King’s watch reflect his dedication to excellence like the Rolex Day Date Super President? Even before a Rolex watch is chosen for the new king, there lingers the question of whether he deserves the heir apparent title.
King James needs a Rolex watch, but what kind of Rolex should the heir apparent choose to wear? In a recent shot of Michael Jordan at an NBA game, His Airness wore a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona. Rather than go for the super bling of a Jay-Z Rolex Masterpiece, King James, as heir apparent, should follow the path taken by His Airness and wear an item a bit more subdued. After the kid wins a few championships and MVP trophies, King James can switch to the super bling if he wishes to go in that direction. Right now, as heir apparent with a steep mountain left to climb, LeBron James should choose the Rolex Day Date Super President as a symbol of true performance and his dedication to the pursuit of basketball excellence. Finally, by choosing a Rolex Day Date Super President, King James would be paying tribute to the incredible legacy of the greatest player in the history of the NBA, Michael Jordan.
We hope that James can bring more surprise to us with his great talent. And we hope to see his great shoot once again.

Morehouse’s championship victory came over the 25 year old up-and-comer, Ben Igoe. Morehouse (31 years old, ranked 13th in the world and 1st in the U.S.) was trailing Igoe 13-7 before staging a dramatic comeback to win 15-14.

It is rare to see a first-time championship winner over 30 years old, and Morehouse was clearly proud of this accomplishment. He said after the match, “For anyone who’s followed my career you know I was very late to becoming a top fencer, so coming from behind was a very fitting way to win my first championship. I’ve always had that underdog mentality, and that definitely helped me pull it out today.”

New York was well represented among the winners, as the top 3 and 7 of the top 8 hail from the Empire State. Morehouse represents the Manhattan Fencing Center and Igoe fences for the New York Athletic Club.

Tim will look to build on this success at the Pan American Championships this August in Costa Rica and the World Fencing Championships in Paris this November.

In Beijing, the men’s saber team missed the Gold by a single match. Morehouse is on a personal mission to take the Gold in 2012. He will surely be one to watch at the London games.

The New York native Morehouse’s climb to the top has been anything but conventional. Only beginning his fencing career in middle school and graduating college as an almost complete unknown in international competitions, Tim does not have a traditional fencing background. He is not a natural athlete, he doesn’t fence by the book, and he had no financial backing as he traveled around the world attempting to qualify for the 2004 Olympic team.

Tim is committed to bringing the sport of fencing to the next level of national attention so that it has the recognition of sports like swimming and gymnastics, enabling him and his teammates to compete for corporate sponsorship dollars. He helped kickoff the Summer National Championships on Friday at a community outreach event at the Warren/Holyfield Boys & Girls Club, displaying his skills with live fencing demonstrations.

Tim definitely appreciates the attention, not for himself, but for his sport. He said, “Fencing is one of the greatest sports in the world and more people are realizing its benefits both physically and mentally and that’s very exciting.” Acting as an unofficial ambassador of fencing, Morehouse is the founder and spokesperson for of Ten Thousand Fencers, an online community and social media network aimed at getting ten thousand new people to try the sport. His efforts to increase the national visibility of the sport have led to features in ESPN Magazine, a fashion spread in Esquire and the New York Post has named him one of New York City’s Top 10 Most Eligible Bachelors. He has been seen in a national television commercial for Team USA and an associated print ad in USA Today.  In addition to the growing following he has attracted to his own blog, he also posts regularly for NBC Universal Sports and the US Olympic Committee.

In addition to being a world-class athlete, Tim is a former public school teacher and supports himself giving speeches at schools and corporations throughout the country.  Since returning from Beijing, Tim has spoken to over 6,000 children and young people in urban schools who find inspiration in his amazing story.

Tim Morehouse is an Olympic silver medalist fencer and professional speaker. For the past eight seasons, Tim has trained under US National Coach Yury Gelman, and he currently represents the Manhattan Fencing Center in New York City. The most anticipated result from the poll was the sports brand category. Nike and their ‘Write Your Future’ campaign has been a huge success both offline and online. Their adverts include appearances from Rooney, Ronaldo, Drogba and Ronaldino which generated more buzz than Adidas going into the World Cup according to Nielsen. Nike had 30.2% share of social networking sites compared to Adidas with 14.4%. However, a new table was released which covered the period 11th to 25th June (when the World Cup had commenced) and revealed that Adidas had leap-frogged Nike with their Star Wars-themed campaign. This was also reflected in the results of Brand’s survey. 60.9% of voters knew that Adidas were the official sponsors of the FIFA World Cup. Nike did come in second place with 34.8% of the votes.

Most of the other sponsors all came top in their categories with a huge majority. Sony topped the electrical category with 52.2% whilst second placed Panasonic received 17.4%, Hyundai obtained 34.8% of the votes with BMW close behind with 16% and Emirates were the resounding winners with 58.3%.

In the beer category, it was a close call, with Budweiser received 47.8% of the votes whilst Carlsberg received 43.5%. Seemingly there may have been confusion as Carlsberg were the sponsors of the England team and have more established links with English football. Similar to Nike, Carlsberg had a massive advertising campaign leading up to the World Cup. Their ‘If Carlsberg did team talks’ campaign had a lot of TV coverage and featured heavily online before the 2010 World Cup. Carlsberg also held a road show which travelled across the UK and gave fans an opportunity to meet some of their England 2010 World Cup heroes. This reveals how crucial a well-orchestrated marketing campaign is to the major brands that are competing against one another to win their own sponsorship World Cup.

Mark Light Field has always been the venue for the home games of the Miami Hurricanes. It is strategically located at the Alex Rodriguez Park and can hold up to 5000 fans and viewers.

The success of Miami Hurricanes is not only limited to college tournaments and games. Rather, the team has produced top quality players that have become successful in major league baseball as well. Some examples are Neal Heaton, Mike Pagliarulo, and Greg Vaughn.

Among the three, Neal Heaton was the earliest to be drafted by a major league baseball team. Heaton, who was born on March 3, 1960, started playing for the Cleveland Indians on September 3, 1982.

Because of this, players from the Miami Hurricanes have caught the attention of talent scouts for the major league baseball teams. Neal Heaton, Mike Pagliarulo, and Greg Vaughn are some of the homegrown Miami Hurricane players that made it big in major league baseball.

Mike Pagliarulo was another famous player that made it to major league through the Miami Hurricanes. He was born on 15th March, 1960. His debut performance was for the New York Yankees on July 7th, 1984. During his career time, he also played for the San Diego Padres, Minnesota Twins, Baltimore Orioles, Seibu Lions and Texas Rangers.

His last appearance for the Rangers and his career was on October 1st, 1995. His career statistics were quite remarkable. He had a batting average of 0.241 with a 134 home runs. His RBI was 505, which was quite impressive for the time he was playing baseball. During his career he did receive a number of awards as well.

Neal Heaton was another player that made it to major league. He was born on the 3rd of March, 1960. His debut performance was for the Cleveland Indians on September 3rd, 1982.

Aside from this, he was also selected to be part of the All Star team for four times. He has also won numerous awards which included a silver slugger award and the National League comeback player of the year award. He received both of these awards in 1998. Aside from playing for the Milwaukee Brewers, he has also played for the San Diego Padres, Cincinnati Reds and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. His last game was with the Colorado Rockies and was held on July 10, 2003.

Since its founding in 1946, ASGCA and its members have shown respect for the land and the environment so integral to the game. ASGCA first formed its Environmental Committee in 1970, and remains dedicated to researching and better understanding the positive benefits that come from a measured focus on the environment – including water usage – and socio-economic factors of the game.

The Environmental Institute for Golf reports only 14% of water used by U.S. golf courses comes from municipal water systems, illustration that golf course owners and other decision-makers recognize the need to be good stewards of such a precious resource. More golf courses are using recycled water and others are adding detailed water plans to the long-range master plans for improvement that many ASGCA members create for their clients.

Efficient water use and management can be positively influenced by golf course design, according to ASGCA Past President Bruce Charlton.

“Experienced golf course architects bring knowledge to the table about how a golf course can be designed or renovated to use water efficiently and make sure the water used is managed properly,” said Charlton, president and chief design officer of Robert Trent Jones II International. “This goes beyond using recycled water and looks at aspects like topographical characteristics, how water flows naturally and grass varieties.”

A few ways design can influence water use and management include:

•   “Firm and fast” conditions, common in the United Kingdom, can make the game enjoyable on a level not always found on North American courses. More water doesn’t necessarily mean better playing conditions. Design that takes this type of play into account can decrease water usage.
•   The use of non-irrigated natural areas in the design of a golf course reduces the amount of water consumed throughout the life of the golf course.
•   Good land planning and stewardship is critical to successful water management. Incorporating natural runoff patterns as well as wetlands and storage ponds into the design helps capture and filter potential contaminants, and allows for water to replenish aquifers.
•   A golf course architect’s understanding of the grass plant and its soil medium can increase the plant’s ability to readily process important nutrients, reducing the amount of water required to keep the grass plant healthy.
•   ”Water harvesting,”

Player Turnout
Your success depends on how many players your golf event draws and how actively you have your players solicit sponsors for their own rounds.

To maximize turnout, you need to get major publicity for your event. That means putting out multiple press releases, getting local media coverage from newspapers and television stations, and placing ads in the sports section of the local paper.

Charity Pledges
The key is getting each player to collect a certain amount of pledges. I recommend a minimum of $100 per player in pledges. I’ve also played in tournaments where that number was $250 per player. And I recommend a golf club–Callaway=

Singing and dancing fans of Dutch grabbed the attention of other supporters and they posed for photos with them. According to Dutch fan, “We are the greatest fans in the world. Everywhere we go, Germany, Switzerland, people support us, because it is always a party, we are fun fans.”
Various Dutch fans love to follow Dutch to all the major football event. According to a father-son duo, who are also huge Dutch fans, “We have been all over with the team, we were in Germany for the last World Cup and now here in South Africa.”

Spectators love to dress crazier, as such dressing style is hugely popular among them. Dutch fans are working hard to support their team, as they stated, “We are all coming to Durban. A train packed with orange people, and we hope people will join us for a party.”

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athletes can start by checking the fat content in the food they buy. For example, they can ask for burgers without mayo, cheese and sauces. Even salads are not always healthy if you slather your greens with dressing and cheese. Prefer low-fat or fat-free dressing.  This can help them cut the excess sodium too. In fact, consider choosing vinaigrette made of heart-healthy olive oil and lemon juice. They could also avoid gravies on foods. This could help them stay away from extra fat and sodium present in the gravies. It will make food much lighter too. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athletes can also pick Swiss cheese, which is lower in fat, over American cheese.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athletes must try to avoid fried food as much as possible. It contains unnecessary fat and usually does not have much nutritional value too. However, if a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athlete is stuck in an unavoidable situation, he can have a small quantity and compensate it by eating less of other food-items. If he can’t resist fried chicken, he should consider removing the skin and eating the rest. This way he can get rid of a substantial amount of calories and unhealthy fat that lie in the crust.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athletes must also be very careful while picking the meat. They must opt for white meat over red meat. This will help them reduce the calorie content to a great extent. Opt for fresh fruits or fat-free yogurt instead of fat-rich desserts such as pies, cakes and ice cream.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athletes must also look for preparation methods that help in keeping the calorie content of the food to lowest. These methods include roasting, baking, broiling, poaching and baking. These methods require minimum or no greasing and also maintain the nutritional value of the food. Most junk food or fast food vendors have at least one healthy option.  Give in to the temptation, but only occasionally.  All other times, choose healthy.

The 36-year-old, who played for Hull KR and Keighley, is currently performance director at St George Illawarra.  He will link up with new coach Steve McNamara ahead of the international against France on 12 June.   Hickman’s arrival follows the earlier appointment of Sydney Roosters coach Brian Smith as performance adviser.   Hickmans will also be working with the team for the Four Nations series against Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea, starting in October.

“Jeremy is regarded as the leader in his field in the NRL (National Rugby League),” said McNamara.  “Just as Brian Smith is keeping us up-to-date on all technical and tactical developments in the NRL, Jeremy will be doing the same on the physical performance aspects.”  Hickman stated: “We will use all the latest development in sports science technology to put in place programmes that will keep the England player at the peak of their performance levels, during their time in camp and on match day.”
